hoooly crap it’s America
you have no idea just how weird it is to be in this country. like, no idea. after not being here for a year. because, like, you never notice how something is unless you’re away from it for a long time, or something.
all the stereotypes about Americans are so, so true. people are just as loud, friendly, and, often, fat, as they are said to be.
and being here is just kind of like jumping into my past. we were driving in Longmont and even by Firestone last night… i might mention i felt like i was going to freaking die cause it was 5 am at home, but anyway… it was just SO WEIRD and awesome.
and we got Krispy Kreme <3 they didn’t have Hot Donuts Now or but still, it was freaking good.
and we listened to 93.3 <33 the dj’s voices were just so, so familiar and awesome, and they played songs that they’ve always played on there, and, just, ahhh.
this is amazing. already. <3

till en bra, bra far, som ska ha en bra, bra födelsedag! :D
i have brought myself to this blog which i nearly never post on (though i have hopes that this will soon change) to wish a very fantastic birthday to a person fondly known as dad/father/daddy/pappa/far/fader/bryan.
i realize that once a person is an adult, a birthday isn't really a huge celebration anymore; in fact, most adults kind of dread it. but even still, i hope it's a good, memorable first birthday spent in sweden! :D
though it was a birthday that took us all by complete and utter surprise, especially you, being that it hadn't even occurred to you that your birthday was anytime soon until something like four days before it.
you are a truly wonderful scooter-wielding dad :D the three of us appreciate everything you do so much!!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!
love,
your eldest daughter :)

-be'd cold and rained upon
-watched sweeney todd for the second time
-drew a rain cloud which was turned into a man with chicken pox, a pitcher filled with water and ice cubes which was turned into a chick [a baby bird not a female], and a dinosaur which was turned into a dinosaur car. also, born that day was the best cat ever
-had long heartfelt conversations with my entire awesome class
-got very scarily yelled and cussed at by an authoritative figure o.o
-tried to cook a marshmallow on the fire august wasn't supposed to start on the grill, but dropped the first marshmallow, and the other marshmallow got dropped in the ashes
-just pretty much had a very very good day and night

-was disappointed, like everyone else, at the 9en speech and song compared to the ones for the ab classes
-hung out at the school for a very long time
-made a rainbow friendship bracelet and gave it to richard

i am sad
i'm gonna miss everything so much.
but monday is the day the teacher's send in the grades, and tuesday is the class trip... so i'm pretty freaking excited anyway. even though i'm kinda sad and all.
ahhh.
this post sucks. i don't blog very well. not right now. things happened today but i don't orka type everything and i don't really orka typing much of anything. it's friday but i have to babysit later, so i'll be out till probably like 9 with a child who is very cute and bilingual-but-doesn't-actually-speak-even-one-full-language-because-she's-two-or-something. but she knows lots of words in both swedish and english. i haven't babysat her in a while.
i am a sleepy sleepy girl at the moment.
when i have something i have to do, i feel like i can't do anything else like before it except just be on the computer and crap. i have no idea why.
i can't wait to go to italy in june. that's going to be very amazing.
k i'm bored. bye. <3

last wednesday at rödabergsskolan.
last media lesson today D: and we didn't finish everything so we're going to try to next thursday before leaver's lunch. we'll just stay in school for those couple hours and bring our clothes to change into.
dude i'm so, so excited about the class trip. you have no idea how excited i am. like, no idea.
even though it's just one night.
it'll be amazing anyway.
and ahhh just so much else! school is ENDING. it's just insane.
today, i got punched in the arm and leg a lot because of august, and pushed a lot because of floop. and i punched august sort of in the eye-ish which made things crazy. and sean stole my phone, and when people steal my phone or my old journal... not my one now cause everyone can read that... i FLIP OUT, you know ^^ so right like sean got attacked. apparently my feet weren't on the ground and i was just like, on the desk and had my arms around his neck and was just attacking him.
lol.
but yeah. besides that, today was just... well we got our national test results in math, for part C, and i did pretty well... and science was just pretty boring but we have a test tomorrow that i am not so thrilled about.
and like, that's it. that was the boringest freaking blog post ever, wasn't it?
i have to sleep though. seeya.

i saw a ninja class today
anyway.
i was sketching. for art class. that's why 9ens have to do right now and it's pretty fun actually. but anyway.
along came like, 25 people in black t-shirts and sweatpants, and they JUMPED ONTO the wall that was connected to the ledge, and starting balancing their way across it. i'm serious, it was one of the weirdest things ever. they just, dodged the trees and made their way down the thin line. and then, there was a wall on the other side, which was pretty tall, and some of them just freaking climbed up it and sat on top.
they were freaking ninjas. it was a ninja class. i witnessed a ninja class.
they were all like, in their 20's except this one like 13-year-old and this one like 9-year-old, neither of which required any assistance.
it was crazy.
people complain about this last week of school a lot because there's a lot to do before grades are due. but really, i think we finished the hard parts... the geo was my least-favorite. i hated that. but the tech was pretty easy, and that was one of the hard things, too. i also did my catcher in the rye, all of it, even though it's not due till friday. i have to do my final compositions before then, too, which won't be very fun because my laptop died and took everything with it.
i can't wait to get a new laptop. i hate using my mom's all the time. even though it's nice.
but i just have so much to look forward to right now. the downsides are the schoolwork, which of course sucks, and, duh, school ending. which is both an upside and a downside in and of itself.
i'm gonna cry. i've been at this school for a year, that is all, and i'm still going to be heartbroken to leave it. that i promise you.
i love the people there and just everything about it.
k, not everything.
but certainly most things.
but finally <3
the sun is out. like, OUT out. not only is it out from 3 am to 10 pm, but it's just so NICE and WARM during the day. i took off my sweater today, and at lunch break my leggings, and i wore flip-flops. and in just my skirt and my tank top i was superhappy.
and i have TAN LINES :D sort of :D
now bye <3

so basically i haven't blogged since march.
not TOO much has happened in the last two months that i'm actually going to blog about, really. i read The Da Vinci Code, which was good but not even half as good as Angels and Demons (movie coming out so soon!! i'm going with caitlin and lina :D), and The Truth About Forever, which was wonderful. and also Marked. i'm reading Betrayed, the sequel, now. both are jättebra. read them.
i went to poland last weekend. from friday to sunday. it was fun, i guess. better than i thought it would be. i bought lots of crap. clothes, a usb stick thing, headphones, a webcam :D, etc. it was an alright trip.
next weekend i'm going to Croatia. my grandma's here. she came this morning.
this summer on 14 june i'm going to Italy with caitlin and lina :D i'm so frickin' excited. we're going to Trieste for a week, which is where caitlin's going to live, and taking a day trip to Venice. it's going to be so awesome.
also, school is ending so soon. i'm not so excited for that. that's gonna make me cry D: at school! and i'll hug everyone. EVERYONE in the class. i'm not leaving a single person out, and i mean that :P
i cannot beat raining blood in gh3. i cannot. it is not possible i swear to god.
oh, i also got a cat. her name is Sofi and she's amazing <3
i feel like i need to blog about more interesting of things :P i'll start blogging more. i've said that so many times lol. but now, i think i actually will. cause i set up the whole email thing. so i won't have to switch google accounts to blog anymore. that's good. :D
so yeah i'll blog more later <3 byebye

i have officially
And, I have ridden a camel. Obviously.
And, I've been to Africa! One more continent down! :D
But let me tell you all about it.
So I was there for a week. My sister and I got this separate hotel room from my parents, at this hotel called hotel Ibis. And we went outside and walked around everyday, and went to this market thing a lot, and ate tasty food, and stuff.
I think we rode in at least one taxi every day there. Taxis there are crazy cheap. Everything was, pretty much.
And we weren't supposed to drink the water at all, so we just drank water bottles the whole time. Those were cheap, too.
The market thing was insane because they were sooo chaotic and like, BUY THIS BUY THIS. Everywhere women selling henna under their little umbrellas, and men selling orange juice and... well, pretty much everything, were yelling like, "HALLO?" and trying to guess what language we spoke, all like "French? English? Spanish?" and one time one of the guys said "Chinese?" and I couldn't take it, I totally started laughing. Cause like, do we really look like we speak Chinese...?
Animals I saw on the trip include: many many donkeys pulling carts, many horses, cows, lots of sheep, lots of goats, dogs, lizards for sale, aggravated monkeys on ropes, snakes (including cobras...), and 113 cats. Yes, I counted the amount of cats I saw over the whole trip. I know, I'm cool, right?
So yeah. Morocco was pretty hoppin'. I'll post pictures on Facebook whenever I find my camera cord thing.
I read Angels and Demons over the course of the trip as well. That was a very enjoyable piece of literature. I have begun The Da Vinci Code, now. Hooray.
Wow this post is chaotic and probably annoying to read.
Oh! And I guess I never updated on that last post, did I? We're staying here for another year. I'm pretty dang happy about that. Not about the Sarah aspect, but still. Yay Sweden.

nobody in my family is set on one option, besides emily, who wants to stay.
nobody knows what to pick right now. this will be the third school year in a row about which we've worried constantly about what side of the world we'll live on.

blogging twice in one day?? unspeakable...
I cut my hair. Okay, no I didn't, I went and got it cut. At a little place I like to call Rinse at Heron City. The girl who normally cuts my hair (she's my Facebook friend, heehee) couldn't do it so some other tjej did, but yeah. It's fabulous anyway. Now it's to my chin, and it's all layer-y and choppy.
:D
Also, I'm probably seeing Metro Station liiive on February 8th!! At the same place as Kill Hannah... I'M SO HAPPY. Hoooly crap. They're one of my favorite bands!! Duuude. They're way cheaper here than they'd be in the states, probably, cause like, they aren't even half as famous here as they are there...
But yeah. I'm freaking, freaking excited. I'll be able to sing along with a lot, and I'll dance like crazy and scream my head off and try to meet them all. Miley Cyrus' brother. Lol. I'll have them sign something. Maybe I'll buy something, too, I dunno. But it'll be absolutely incredible.
Jasmine texts me all like, "oh my god metro station is coming to sweden" and I just started freaking out.
Yeah, I'm happy. :)
MY iPOD.
I was fully expecting to get it for Christmas, but my parents kept trying to pull the "how do you know you're getting an iPod" thing to keep it a "surprise," even though I sat next to them with a laptop and decided which kind of iPod I wanted. Fail.
Then, on Christmas, I opened all my presents, and was like, okay, I'm probably going to get my iPod in some other magical way and it's probably going to be last. I'd pretty much forgotten about it when all of a sudden my mom started acting really freaking weird and repeating "maybe you guys should go on a walk." I was in my pajamas, on Christmas freaking morning, so I didn't exactly know what to do with that. Then it turned into "maybe you guys should get your coats, and go on a walk," and the emphasis shifted to the "getting our coats" portion of that, so finally it clicked and I went to pull my iPod out of my pocket of my coat.
And then I proceeded to dance around and freak out.
Anyway, it is an orange, 4th generation iPod Nano. I love it with my whole heart and it's incredible. When I turn it to the side, the stuff on the screen turns to the side, as well! And when I shake it, it reshuffles! My iPod is a gift from God.
I honestly feel so wrong when it's not with me. I can't go places without it; that's like going to school without my bag, or something.
Presently it has 455 songs, but they're all from my dad's computer. As you may or may not know, my computer is at some company right now, not being fixed. Great, right?
It has Solitaire and a version of Brick Breaker that is round, but the best game is the Maze game. I love it. But I don't play it very often.
Here, I'm going to reshuffle it (shake it, hahaha) and then tell you the next 10 songs that play...
-"Tired of You" - Foo Fighters
-"Thousand Mile Wish" - Finger Eleven
-"Here It Goes" - Jimmy Eat World
-"Animal I Have Become" - Three Days Grace
-"Time Won't Let Me Go" - The Bravery
-"So I Thought" - Flyleaf
-"Lonely As You" - Foo Fighters
-"Parachutes" - Coldplay (which would be the cutest song if it wasn't like less than a minute long)
-"Twice in a Blue Moon" - Ferry Corsten
-"Over My Head (Cable Car)" - The Fray
Some of those songs my dad had already, but I made him put a bunch of CDs on his computer and also buy a bunch of songs on iTunes (okay, not buy, I get iTunes gift cards :P)
But yeah. My iPod is my supersexy B F F. <3

brain age tale
Okay, so, this one time, I was playing Brain Age on my DS (yes, I have a DS. yes, I have Brain Age. yes, I like it a lot. :P) and I was playing this game, this word game where it gives you some letters and you have to unscramble them... It's called Word Scramble, actually, I think.
So I was playing it, and the letters were A N G E M A.
And, I mean, obviously the word is MANAGE.
But I put MEAGAN anyway <3
Weird Asian Food FTW
Shut up, no you don't. You could totally never guess this. Nobody could. Unless they're from whatever Asian country this thing is from.
Okay, so it's a... Lychee Aloe Vera dessert.
So first of all, it came in a bag. Like, a plastic bag. And it's liquid, mostly. So yeah, bagged liquid. With cubes of... lychee gel... in it.
And as much fun as it was to eat Asian liquid out of a bag with a small spoon, I had to transfer it into a bowl because I kept getting it spilled onto my robot shirt. And my arm, which is why my arm is sticky.
Lychees are my favorite fruit.
This thing is weird, though. It's really sweet. I like it. Asian food = epic win
I got it at this little Asian food store at Medborgarplatsen, as well as a can of lychees. And a looot of Ramen.
And while we were there, I saw canned bananas. Canned bananas?? Dude. I told my mom to let me get it so I could blog about it, but she was like, you can just blog about seeing it. So here I am. And I never got to discover whether canned bananas are good or not.
Probably not...

'tis the season.
So the main events of Winter Break are of course:
Christmas
Whatever traveling you do
aaand
New Years.
That's why I'm here today!
First of all.
Christmas was splendid. I was just as excited about it as I always have been, just asked my parents. My mom even said it was cute that I still look forward to it as much as I do. I was like bouncing around Christmas morning, and my parents were like "well before we open presents we have to..." and named all this stuff... completely kidding, but I was still like NO!
We opened our stockings first, like always. I got like, a ton of tiny mechanical pencils and some other pencils and pens, which is good cause I'm running completely low on pencils (thank you, 9en.)... I also got like, some candy from both America and Sweden (I haven't eaten it all yet, I think that deserves a high-five :P), some Lamar Savages lip crap which only my family could ever see the humor in, and some other stuff. I dunno. Lemme tell you what presents I got.
-From my mother's parents: an orange iPod nano. <3 the love of my life. I'm so elated over it, even still. It's my new bff.
-From my uncle on my mother's side: Viva la Vida :D i am so happyyyy.
-From my father's parents: a, like, little mechanical thing that walks around. he's pretty cool. :D
-From my aunt and uncle on my father's side: 50 iTunes credits, YAY :D omgeee i can't wait to go crazy buying music. it's ever-so-convenient, what with my new iPod to fill up. yay!
-From Emily: A PINK TUTU. Like, BRIGHT PINK. I had to go over to her and hug her. It's the most beautiful thing ever. She also got me some hair thingys, yay ^^
-From Sarah: okay, some of the coolest things ever. Horton Hears a Who!, which I am SO happy to own :D, a Santa apron for whatever reason (it is very cool. if i ever get a webcam and start vlogging, i will wear it in one.), an Over the Hill ribbon which is awesome, like a crapload of candy bracelets :D, a Fresh Friend who is like a little Santa-shaped room freshener guy who makes my room smell like cinnamon, and, llol, the hugest freaking panties EVER. They are size 12. They could fit a cow, I swear to god. Awesome. XD
-From Amy and Kevin: a robot sweater!! :D its so awesomeeee. wheee
-From my parents...
-An issue of Seventeen :D yayyy!! and Teen Vogue, but apparently that's from my grandma, and also a Twilight magazine.
-A stuffed dinosaur who is a stegosaurus and rawrs when you push his tummy. he is AMAZING.
-Some shirts. Two robot shirts, and a shirt thats like, a white blouse with a little vest attached to it.
-BREAKING DAWN <3
-Fuzzy socks :3
-Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs! which i am veeery happy about.
-A pink 2009 calendar I can write on.
And other things I cannot remember. But I am very grateful and happy about everything. Oh! I'm going to tell you what I got my family members now.
-My mother: a pretty notepad that has like tree designs on it, because I know she loves notepads and tree designs, lol, and a necklace with some birds on it. Oh, some birds and some tree. How fitting.
-My father: some pesto cheese and some snowball candy. Edible gifts, yay!
-Emily: like, a crapload of stuff. a small blue gel pen, some very tasty-smelling orange scented soap (I swear it smells like freaking candy), a cup with a purple monkey on it, a bag with bananas on it, and those things you put in the fridge and put on your eyes, except the two eye-things are like duck heads. Awesome.
I kept our Christmas tree :3 It's in my room. It's very small, so it's not like I just have some big pine tree in my room, no. It's on my windowsill. So now I have two plants in my room! AP001, and Johnny Louis, which is my Christmas tree's name. His last name is Smithersons.
So after Christmas we went to Prague. We were there for 5 days. It was wicked cold there. In a very extreme way. I had to wear like tights under my jeans every day, and my coat over my sweater over my shirt... and my hat... and my gloves, with my hands in my coat pockets... and a scarf... and I was still freezing. We went to Poland one day, too. Both places were very cheap. Like, we went to this Target-ish store and got like clothes, a pair of boots, some food, some perfume (mine :] it's lovely and was only seven dollars), and like a crapload of notebooks and pencils and stuff... anyway, that was all equivalent to one hundred dollars. That is all. Compared to Sweden... that's insanely, insanely cheap. So awesome.
It was pretty nice there. We ate at a cute little place in Poland and signed this, like, super-insanely-old guestbook... we had to use like really pretty cursive because everyone else in there did, and use up about a page. I was proud of my cursive. It was some nice cursive.
I was so happy to come home, though. Traveling makes time go by slowly.
New years was cool. The fireworks out my window were amaaaazing. Like, so completely breathtakingly awesome. I could see like, the entire horizon of Stockholm, and about a billion fireworks at a time every second. IT WAS SO COOL. My parents went to some party.
The first food I ate in 2009 was vanilla ice cream, and the first song I listened to was Supermassive Black Hole, at Sarah's request.
Oh and, awesomest thing ever. Okay so. About 12 minutes after midnight, I was talking to Sarah and I was like, crap. I just had the best idea ever and now it's too late. You know how people always kiss at midnight? Kay so, Sarah and I always hug our computers at the same time because that's the best available way right now, and we're awesome like that, but I was thinking, we should have totally kissed our computer screens at the same time at midnight. But, no. It was too late. Our next idea was to wait until Sarah's midnight, but that was freaking 8 am for me, so no. Then she was like, well, Finland's midnight is in an hour! So I'm like, AWESOME. We're doing it. And it was like crazy-awesome, llol. Both of our parents were like, dude, what the crap??
So yeah. 2008 is over. Which is just so weird. It hasn't hit me in some crazy way yet, you know? Just like when you have your birthday you don't feel whatever age you are. 2009 just doesn't seem any different from 2008. But it's still weird.
Oh, I have new blogging rules for myself. Every 5th post I make has to be, like, about one specific thing or person. Like, a tribute or something. It's going to be cool, probably. And every 4th post gets to be a story. That is all. Byebye.
